I'm doing a paper on the Epic of Gilgamesh and I have no idea how to cite it! Since it's written on tablets and the tablets are in columns do you have to put the tablet number, column number, and page number or do you just use the standard MLA format for all poetry of just the page number. I'm so confused!
How to cite quotations from the Epic of Gilgamesh in a research paper.?
A citation format depends entirely on the professor. If she wants MLA, give her MLA. If she has not specified, then it may not matter which format you use, as long as you are consistant. Whatever you do for the first cite, do for every cite.
