I want the paper to flow, but am afraid obvious language differences will distract. Suggestions?
When quoting in a research paper, should i keep spellings such as "colour" instead if color?
I would leave them that way. People won't be too distracted by colour, centre, valour, etc.
Reply:I agree, if you are quoting something written in another dialect, keep the original grammar and spelling. Be sure to use quotation marks and the appropriate citations also. when read aloud the words probably sound similar.
