How should I write an argumentative research paper?
What are you debating? Uhm, I don't really think that is a GOOD topic but I'll try to help you out.

Alright, since I THINK you're debating on the definition of a leader you should research what a leader was in the 1800s-1900s to a leader in 2000s. I don't know how long your research paper should be but I am guessing four to five pages double spaced with Times New Roman in 12 pixels/font. Okay, below is a possible outline of your research paper. Each ROMAN NUMERAL is a NEW PARAGRAPH!

I. What is a leader?

A. Definition of a leader

B. Etymology.

C. What does children think of leaders?

D. Include any facts on leaders in OLD history and think of leaders NOW. Keep it brief. Don't go into this. The introductory paragraph in an argumentative research paper should balance the two sides.[if that made sense]

II. Leaders in OLD times

A. What were leaders in OLD times considered?

B. Include 3-4 nations' history of leaders. [this should be in SEPERATE paragraphs and about 250-400 words each.

C. Include United States history of leaders. What did they do?

III. Leaders in PRESENT times

A. Who are considered leaders in the world today?

B. Include 3-4 nation's leaders [this should be in SEPERATE paragraphs and about 250-400 words each. Include like a mini biography with 150 words of each leader]

C. Include United States leaders now. [this should be about 250-400 words each paragraph if there is more than one leader. Check out answers.com to see what PEOPLE think of leaders.

IV. Argumentative Paragraph

A. This should be your ARGUMENTATIVE paragraph. Make your reader want to know the similarities and differences of each type of lader. Include what people in answers.com think.

V. Conclusion

I hope I helped you in your question, "How should I write an argumentative research paper?"
