What is the different between reaction paper and research paper?

I wanna write a reaction paper but I've listed too many details and hardly include my own ideas. Is it alright?

Thanks for ur answers... ^@^

What is the different between reaction paper and research paper?
I would think a reaction paper is more of your own views and the way you would react to things and a research paper comes more from statistics and facts of the topic being talked about. Hope this helps you. Good luck with your paper!
Reply:in a reaction paper, you'll just write your own opinions about a topic but in doing a research paper, you'll need a lot of resources. that's why it's called REsearch, having the prefix re which means again. so it's already made and that you'll just write it down again.. in reaction paper it's your own work..

if you want to include some ideas from others, it's ok as long as you'll just quote them so it'll not look like you are stealing their ideas. for example; "According to the Newton's law of motion, An object will remain at rest unless a resultant force acts on it." You cannot say that "An object will remain at rest unless a resultant force acts on it." alone. you must state your sources on those ideas of others that you'd like to insert.

Reply:the salem witch trials is a good topic!!
Reply:What grade level? Jr high / high school could be the impact / influences of the Roman Empire on western civ. Ex. the arch, aqueduct, concrete, etc.
Reply:I had to do a 6-8 paper on someone is our history text book and I choose Ben Franklin and electricity. I also included the people that Ben Franklin had influence on or the ones that influenced him in my essay. Make sure you include details in your paper. I got an A on that. Now for this literature class...for me to start on my 3 page paper analyzing literature....how boring....
Reply:The involvement of the CIA in the Bay of Pigs. reference The Book Of Honor by Ted Gup.
Reply:What interests you?

Sorry but I'm a big advocate for writing what *you* want to write, not what you think the teacher or other people will like.

For example, one of my research paper topics was the Spanish Inquisition, which was something like writing a horror story (if that interests you, do that, as it's kinda fun in a disturbing sort of way)...except for the Monty Python quotes....

So yea just find something you like so it's fun for you.

How do i write a research paper on the failure and success for a home-based business?

The reason for me to choose this particular topic was due to when I recently wrote a informational essay paper on how to operate a small home-based business so I figure I would stay in that particular area and write a persuasive essay instead. Can you please just give me some concrete pointers? Thanks in advance.

How do i write a research paper on the failure and success for a home-based business?
I have written a lot about home-based businesses.

But if I were to write a research paper, I would start with data on home businesses. Start with the Bureau of Census data, specifically the Characteristics of Business Owners Survey , which offers data on home-based businesses. http://www.census.gov/csd/cbo/

Then check out academic studies on the failure rates of businesses. SBA has a study entitled "Redefining Busines Success: Distinguishing Between Failure and Success" by Brian Headd that looked at the characteristics that result in better chances of survival. The study also looked at the factors that were characteristics of closure. One of the factors the study considered is whether being home-based can contribute to the success or failure of a business -- and they found it as a positive factor that could help a business succeed. You can read about the study at http://www.sba.gov/advo/stats/bh_sbe03.p...

Then check out various sites that focuses on information on home businesses (not the sites that pitch about what home business you should do).
Reply:Yes...I would use the information in this ebook for your essay. The info is not copyrighted. Go to the web site below and find the pictures of the umbrellas and download that ebook. It has good information on what makes a home business more successful than the other.
Reply:Please type "Home Based Business" into your Yahoo! search box and you will be amazed at the volume of resources that will be available to you.
Reply:I would check with these resources:

* The small business administration may point you to resources or programs that offer advice to help new business owners

* The Grameen Foundation in Dallas Texas mentors new business owners in forming a development plan, in order to qualify for microlending. Also Microbusiness USA in Florida.

* There are private groups that focus on supporting "Black Entrepreneurs" etc. Can you find out some groups like these and ask their advice?

* Other popular authors and resources: Dave Ramsey on avoiding credit pitfalls; "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" on how every business is basically a "real estate" deal where your overhead has to be less than your incoming revenue.

Do I also number that page? 10 points-I know other people are doing a research paper.

Hi somebody please help me, I have to put my abstract in my research paper?
The abstract should be before you start putting page numbers on. if you use a table of contents it would be before that, but after the title.

How do I determine which parts of my research paper should be referenced with endnotes?

I'm a novice at this type of documentation and I'm having a great deal of trouble figuring out exactly what content in my paper is relevant for endnoting. I've only ever used parathethical citation, so how can I narrow it down?

How do I determine which parts of my research paper should be referenced with endnotes?
If there is going to be a lot of referencing, you should try to footnote each page of your report. That allows the person reading it to cross-check the footnotes very easily, and still continue on reading in a more rhythmic manner. (Meaning not having to flip to the back for endnotes.) I ALWAYS check the noted sources as I am reading documented papers, if only to make notes for myself to double check references that seem incorrect to me.

The content that you should be footnoting is all borrowing phrases such as ' William Norton notes in his researches that there are more than 20% higher incidences of this outcome in heavy smokers, as opposed to non-smokers' (1)--and then you would give the publication under (1) in the footnotes.

Remember a good deal of a research paper needs to be the binding phrases, strictly in your own words, that marry together the findings of others, or compares the findings of others to your own. Every time someone elses research is mentioned it should be footnoted.
Reply:Anything that is not original ideas... if not you will be plagiarizing other work. If you plagiarize you may be kicked out of the college!
Reply:In my past experience with higher learning....the ENTIRE PAPER is referenced....Other than your opening paragraph(s) and your closing paragraph(s)!!!!
Reply:you should us end notes for anything that you quoted from anther source, such as a book or an online source.
Reply:The same as with (). You endnote what you got from other people. If your paper is completely from other sources, then the paper doesn't have anything of what you said on your own. Watch out too because some professors are really really strict on plagarism.

What is a good topic to do my research paper on for my marketing class in my MBA program?

I am taking Marketing this semester in graduate school. I have only previously taken one marketing class, in my undergraduate program, which was a survey class. There were no in depth discussions of any topics. I need a topic that I can do research on and enjoy, which may actually be impossible (since I'm an accountant) and have absolutely no interest in Marketing. All help is very much appreciated.

What is a good topic to do my research paper on for my marketing class in my MBA program?
Do something on pricing and the effects it has on a brand.

Ie Does pricing a Jetta higher than a G6 do more to build the VW brand than the Pontiac Brand?
Reply:marrying economics, behaviour (including status anxiety), and decision theory amongst singaporeans would be a great thesis - and a great starting point for a book.

i would do that if I were taking my MBA.
Reply:well... you wont like Marketing but there are some similarities between accounting and marketing, why dont you do a survey on "the effects of online marketing on commercial banks" seems to be an easy topic and since u work in a bank if i am correct, you will get lots of inputs from your survey... GOODLUCK!!!
Reply:There are a ton of options....

Go through the chapters of your text, you could do it on any one of those.

Viral Marketing, Subliminal Advertising, Subliminal messages, are all very interesting. I would try incorporate these with each other or how they can relate to behavior, or purchase decision, etc. Mainly due to the fact that it can be difficult to find an abundance of books on say Subliminal Advertising alone.

You will find interesting stories of Coca-Cola and Disney using subliminal messages and subliminal advertising.

Viral marketing is the marketing of one consumer to another without the knowledge of the one being marketed to. My old professor used the example of someone handing you a camera in a public place asking you to take a pic of he and his wife, as he hands it to you he expresses some type of excitement about it in the ease of use or the great digital qualty. This physically puts the product in a consumer's hands. I always found Viral Marketing to be interesting.

The study of Aesthetics* can be interesting and apply to somewhat subliminal. The sound of rain in the vegtable section, or cows mooing in the milk section. You could find and use some examples of the use of aesthietics affecting purchase decision and behavior.

Good Luck dude, let me know if you decide one of these topics.
