Hey. i'm a high shcool freshmen. And i need to write a research paper about any issue of immigration. Anything at all. I just need ideas. It's an easy 10 points. And if you put a thesis statement along with youre idea youll forsure get best answer ;)

Can you help think of an idea for my research paper about immigration?
Write about acculturation! It is about how immigrants adjust to a new culture or how they don't. This will blow your teachers mind.
Reply:Yes, one good thought is: Compare immigration from 1854 up until now. Know how the Immigrants from way back came to America Legally. What ports they came into. How hard it was for the early Immigrants to travel on an old ship, for six weeks or longer. How they had to bring along their own food supply. How many Immigrants died while enroute. Burial at sea. How they were also discriminated against by some Americans, until they were finally accepted. Even way back, when thousands of early Immigrants came here to America, they stayed in their own cultural group. They helped each other as the Mexicans are doing now days. The early Norwegians could not send the children to public schools , until they could speak English. English was the main language. They had to learn. They came here the Legal way. The Irish suffered enroute, more then any other Immigrant. But they came here the Legal way. They did not steal other peoples identity. They suffered and worked hard. Study about the Irish Potatoe Famine in Ireland. So compare those days gone by , with the days of now. How the Mexican Immigrants, have came to America soil, and stole hard earned Social Security numbers. Stole American's names. And yet they put on demonstration in protest against our Laws. Then they say our Grandfathers came to America the same way the Mexicans have. WRONG ! Our Ancestors came to America, humble, respectful, honest and loyal to the new land. They came the Legal way. and I could go on and on.
