Good topics for research paper in Political Science?

I'm not very interested and is very weak in Government and political stuff, but i have to take the class anyway. I try to read them, but they are very hard to understand if you don't know what is going on in the world. Anyway, what are good topics for a research paper, something easy to understand? I prefer not current issues, because my professor wants us to use some books for resources. Thanks!

Reply:I would do it over lobbyist. Nice easy topic that will not cause any back lash form your class mates. This in turn would also help inform the upcoming voters of your age group about lobbyist. As of now they have inform the public that there are 60 lobbyist for ever one congress man/woman. When did voting with your back pocket because the norm. Oh well,

When I was in college a long time ago, I did a topic over death row and did I get nailed in the class room, hell ya I did over that topic. Everybody was so dead set on death row of todays times. That they failed to even listen that I was talking about 30 plus years ago.

Another topic that you could talk about is Slavery. The fact that we went to war on this issue and yet we support other countries Via Nafta and if it ever gets past, Cafta. NAFTA and CAFTA our the free trade agreements that you might hear about in the new. How they off shore our jobs because they can have the work done cheaper in Mexico or Canada and shipped into our country. NAFTA is North America free trade agreement, ie Canada and Mexico. This allows over seas companies to ship to one of the two. Then truck the load into our country.

Textile ie clothing makers and how they have suffered horible job loss in the market. All because G Bush did not sign the law back into law at midnight. You might notice the new clothing companies up in the malls at your age. It has been list that upwards of around 1500 jobs a day lost in America only to be sent over seas because of that law not being signed back into law. This went on for months and months and well, the impact is all around you via the new outlet stores.
Reply:fearmongering as a political tool for controlling the sheeple - Bush administration has raised this technique to an artform.
