What are some essay/research paper topics/questions relative to "Lynchings" and Black History month ?
Here are a few good research questions on the topic.

Was Ida B. Wells an effective anti-lynching advocate?

In what ways did the NAACP's journal, "The Crisis," edited by W.E.B. DuBois, oppose lynching?

How well was lynching covered or reported in newspapers? Did African-American owned and African-American targeted newspapers do a better job at reporting on lynching than mainstream white-targeted newspapers? (Compare the Chicago Defender and the Chicago Sun, or the New Amsterdam News and the New York Times).

Was Marcus Garvey involved in the anti-lynching movement? How? Did his UNIA organization act in any way against lynching?
Reply:I've never seen anything about famous African-Americans who witnessed lynchings. It would be interesting to learn how the killings shaped their lives.
Reply:I took a class on Lynching in America years ago. I wrote a paper about Lynching and the art that was created at the time. Strange fruit by Billy Holiday, drawings of lynchings, etc.
